Working From Home Online

Work from home is the siren call to many people who are home bound but could be making money anyway. Retirees, mothers, homemakers, and disabled all can stay home to take care of family or themselves but still have a successful business.

Many people shy away from these exciting offers because of the many scams out there that claim huge income from simple online business ventures. It is true that one must be careful in selecting an online business. The safest way to start up an online business is to do it yourself.

Starting a business is scary enough, but building a website too is extremely overwhelming. Finding basic help for how to build a website is difficult especially if there is no technical background to draw from. But now even those who have very little experience with the internet can build a website from the ground up with simple to follow instructions in plain English.

More resources are becoming available for beginners and newcomers to work from home creating internet businesses. It was once the domain of only those who had technical knowledge, but now anyone can do it.

Working from home online comes in many different shapes and sizes. The most important thing about starting an internet business is finding a niche. Successful online businesses are built around very specific things. If one tries to go broad, usually the site fails.

The internet is a huge marketplace, each successful business has found a specific and unique way to interest customers and sell products.

Though it seems scary to hang success on a very narrow market, it is the best way to go with an online business. Commodities can come in the form of digital products or products that are shipped. Each type has different considerations and demands.

Home based businesses afford the creator many different benefits. Owners get to stay at home to tend to family or take care of their own illnesses or disabilities. In the mean time, they can operate online businesses and turn a great profit. Some online businesses that just started up are making a thousand dollars a day or more after only six months of operation.

Work from home has some difficulties as well. Business at home means that one can never get away from the business. It sometimes interferes with daily happenings at home, but good time management, consistency and the ability to balance work and play is the key to a successful online business.

eMystery Shopper

I haven't wrote on this blog for a very long time, Every day there's about a 1001 things that I need to do, and unfortunately some things don't get a look in! but I'm going to try a bit harder to start adding some valuable content to this blog, I think it desperately needs it! :S

What I wanted to add right now, is to let you know of a site called emystery shopper,if you chose to join this site (its' free)you would monitor and review internet sites.

I joined this site a few months back and have done quite a few website evaluations so far, I recently completed a project which involved surveying 4 websites on the same topic, I recieved £25 for this.

When you sign up, you will have to sign a form and mail it back to the company, once they have recieved it, they will contact you and you will be expected to carry out one website evaluation of your choice, you will not be paid for this one. If it is accepted you will then be able to view the list of websites which need evaluating, you can apply for whichever one your interested in.

For each website evaluation, you will be paid anything from £3.50+ , If you choose to do a purchase/returns for that website, you will be paid more.

There is a web forum which others have been discussing this website, this is where I first heard of the company, you can take a look here
The surveys that you need to complete for these websites are quite lengthy and very detailed, you will be asked to look at certain pages and answer a range of questions.
These will be on your thoughts of the homepage, what the customer service is like (if you are asked to e-mail or phone).

You do have to put in some time and effort, as with any job, but if your looking to make some extra income this can be the perfect opportunity.

Please do let me know how you get on. :)

Ways to help overcome post-natal depression

A couple of years back a friend of mine was affected by post natal depression, and it became so severe that she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital, alhamdulillaah she was allowed out after a few weeks I think, but had to go on anti-depressants. This is an illnes, that as women, we definitely need to be aware of, this article provides advice on overcoming post natal depression, should one be affected by it, May Allaah protect us all, ameen.

Every mother feels the indescribable joy of holding her newborn child in her arms. But amidst all that, she may sometimes have to endure an unbearable animosity towards the child, which can even get the better of her and her relationship with the child.

This is no ordinary problem. It is an illness that not only will affect her, but also, the innocent child. In worst cases, it can lead to death. We are referring to Post Natal Depression.

Post Natal Depression can be considered a syndrome that attacks some women out there the moment they have given birth. Yes, life after the birth of your child is not necessarily a fairy tale like what you would see on television dramas or movies. You may not be battling with the physical pain that much, but you would definitely be battling with your emotional roller coasters the most.

Your mentality of everything that surrounds you will change for the worse, in such a way that you would have thoughts of negative happenings that apparently have not taken place at all, and would even go against others around you without any rhyme or reason. Most of all, you would develop negative perceptions and hatred for your own baby.

If you are one of those women who are going through these darkest after-birth moments, you need help! But do not fret! It may seem like an illness that is beyond control, but it can actually be cured and overcome if you try your best to.

Ladies, let us share with you on what you can do to fight the battle. This information, too, would be useful for any of you whose friends or loved ones are facing Post Natal Depression, because in times like this, you could be the one they need the most.

1. Family support is the key factor that can keep her going despite her post-natal ordeals. Family members should never leave her unattended. You can take turns among yourselves to take care of her. Most importantly, understand that what she is going through will not last forever. Hence, you should be tolerant of her and not be too pushy for that period of time, and always remind her that the illness will gradually fade away.

2. Seek advice from doctors or professionals. They would be able to prescribe the most appropriate medications and provide further therapies that can help improve the situation.

3. Besides doctors, counselors can play a part for you too. Since Post Natal Depression highly involves conflict of emotions and downfall in terms of your self-esteem, counselors would be able to advise you on how such illness can be tackled in a more proper way. Family members can also get help from these professionals on how they can show their support towards the victims of this illness.

4. Instill some self-belief and self-confidence in you. Have faith that the illness will go away as long as you stay unwearied and strong. Yes, it is tough to pull it through, but if you can overcome that unbearable pain of bringing your child to life, why would you not be able to overcome this one?

5. Avoid consuming pills because they will exacerbate the depression in you rather than reducing it. You should especially avoid them during that point in time when you had just given birth to your child. Remember that pills are not the easy way out for you. As mentioned earlier on, seek advice from doctors with regards to the prescription of medications if you really need a form of medication for yourself.

Mothers and mothers-to-be, Post Natal Depression cannot be taken for granted, but it can be remedied. After all, it is only temporary. To the families and friends of these victims, always shower them with your love and care, and perhaps the illness can fade away sooner than you expect.

Motherhood can be the most unforgettable if you know how to control your emotions and your mind. Think about your child who has got nothing to do with what you have to endure. And think about those women who have been there done that. If those women could fight and surpass the illness, so could you. Hope that all of you will be able to enjoy motherhood to the fullest!

Bedtime body care - Time to unwind

Better Baths

Being relaxed and de-stressed is essential for a good night's rest, so hop into that tub right now! "When you're in the bath, there's not much you can do," says Julie Lindh, an aesthetician in New York City. It's this nothingness that prompts your mind to unwind and ditch the worries of the day. Too busy to take a nightly bath? Lindh says that even a 15-minute soak in a tub filled with hot water, sea salts, and essential oils will deliver maximum benefits. "After five minutes your pores open up, during the next five minutes you start to absorb the ingredients, and after five more minutes you should ease off," says Lindh, adding that in a pinch a shower will do, too. Lather up with one of the new relaxing shower gels formulated with sleep-inducing essential oils.

Softer Hands and Feet
Just like on the rest of our body, the skin on our hands and feet gets dehydrated during the night, so don't forget to pamper them, too. If you have a bit more time, why not slip on a moisturizing glove or bootie? Many are lined with body heat-activated moisturizing pads. Enjoy their soothing feel for a few minutes before snuggling in.

Sleep Science
The very act of rubbing your skin with a soothing body oil can calm you. Fully inhale the scent by cupping your hands and taking a deep breath.

The organised home

I just came across this blog post and found it to be very encouraging. I personally find it very hard to keep the home organised and in tip top condition all the time, but I would like to try out these tips insha Allaah.

I don't like to houseclean. I would much rather read a book, learn something new, or be with my husband or kids. On the other hand, I love a clean, organized home that is also beautifully decorated. I suppose this is a bad combination, but over the years, these desires have driven me to find ways to have my cake and eat it, too. Here are some organizational tips I learned from various people and places:

If you have a lot of possessions, your home can't stay neat and organized unless you are willing to spend a lot of time keeping it so. I am not willing to do this, so I ruthlessly purge on a regular basis.

The more decorations you have, the more you have to dust. Think: Decorations = Time. I choose a few, well-placed decorations and give away those that we are getting tired of looking at.
